Erasmus+ 2026: Record Funding Available for Universities, NGOs and Companies

Erasmus+ 2026 calls are now open with increased budgets across all key action areas. Key deadlines fall in February, March, and October 2026 — preparation should begin immediately.

The Erasmus+ programme for 2026 continues to expand under the 2021-2027 multiannual financial framework. Following the trajectory of increasing annual budgets — from 4.08 billion euros in 2024 to approximately 4.5 billion in 2025 — the 2026 allocation is estimated at approximately 4.7 billion euros, making it the largest single-year Erasmus+ budget to date. Key opportunities include Key Action 2 Partnerships for Innovation for companies and organisations driving new methods and practices, Jean Monnet activities supporting EU studies at universities worldwide, and European Universities alliances connecting higher education institutions across Europe. For the 2026 cycle, the programme places special emphasis on digital transformation, green skills, and social inclusion. Key Action 1 mobility deadlines fell in February 2026, with Key Action 2 partnership deadlines running through March and October 2026. Both universities and private companies can participate in many actions, and IT firms are increasingly valued as consortium partners due to the digital skills focus. INTERALTER helps both lead applicants and consortium members prepare strong applications and manage grant agreements throughout the project lifecycle.
